Suhaani Singh, Briar Woods High School:
The workshop experience was wonderful. I was able to learn different breathing techniques that can be used to help myself in stressful situations. I didn’t know the importance of meditation and breathing carefully and the benefits that come with that as well. I also learned not to bottle up my emotions yet to express them in different ways. In a real life situation, I can take a second to breathe in counts in order to put my mind and heart at rest. I will not bottle up my emotions or try to cope in a different way. Yet, I will use the techniques I learned in this workshop to effectively combat any difficult situation I may come across. I also learned that I should be positive about myself and maintain my well-being. It is easy to become insecure about small things yet it is important to understand and assure myself that I am perfect just the way I am and am capable of anything I set my mind to. Advice for anyone reading this, be positive about yourself and use healthy techniques to overcome stress.
Shravya Raj, Briar Woods High School:
I think the workshop experience was good and I learned a lot about different meditation skills. I can use the different breathing skills to help me calm down and relax after stressful situations. I also learned from the workshop that it is okay to do breathing exercise to let go of negative energy that you do no want to keep holding on to. I think it is important to have coping mechanisms to help bring your self up from a stressful event.
